Privacy

Privacy without the mystery.

FiveMinFree is designed to collect as little information as practical while still providing useful online tools.

Files you work with

Some tools process files entirely in your browser, which means the working file does not need to be uploaded to FiveMinFree. Other tools require server-side processing. When that happens, files are stored temporarily for the job and are scheduled for automatic deletion after the processing period.

Third-party services

Some tools can connect to an external service at your request. For example, the Printify File Uploader sends artwork to Printify using credentials you provide for that purpose. Information sent to a third-party service is also subject to that service's own privacy practices and terms.

Credentials

Where a tool offers a browser-based credential vault, the saved credential is protected in your browser using the passphrase you choose. Do not share API tokens, passwords or passphrases with other people.

Analytics and cookies

FiveMinFree has a first-party analytics system that can measure page visits and tool usage without storing visitor IP addresses in the analytics database. Optional analytics is used only when you allow it through Cookie settings. The analytics system does not record uploaded file names, file contents, form contents, API credentials or document contents.

Essential storage supports security, sessions and your privacy choice. Non-essential external advertising is also controlled by your Cookie settings. See the Cookie Policy for the categories and controls available to you.

Advertising and basic site data

FiveMinFree may display advertising to help support the service when you allow external content and advertising. Like most websites, the server still receives routine technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request times, browser information and network addresses. Security and operational logs are not intended to become personal profiles.

Accounts

You do not currently need a public FiveMinFree account to use the core tools. If optional accounts or connected storage services are introduced, this page will be updated to explain what is stored and why.

Your responsibility

Avoid uploading files containing sensitive or confidential information unless you are comfortable with the processing method described by the tool. Keep your own copy of important originals.
