What this PDF editor does — and what it does not
This is a lightweight page editor, markup tool and PDF organizer. It can add content on top of existing pages, but it does not reflow or rewrite the original paragraph text like a word processor. A whiteout rectangle visually covers existing content; it does not securely redact the underlying PDF data. For confidential redaction, use a dedicated redaction workflow that permanently removes the source content.
Password-protected or encrypted PDFs are not edited currently. Very complex interactive forms, embedded multimedia, document scripts, bookmarks or internal links may also be affected when pages are structurally rebuilt. If those features are important, keep the original PDF and verify the exported copy in your normal PDF viewer.
FiveMinFree uses Mozilla PDF.js to render pages and pdf-lib to create the edited download. Both run in the browser. See our open-source software page for licensing information.
